I have some additional information for All County on Saturday afternoon.  I will not be at the All County Meet on Saturday.  Unfortunately I have a family trip with my extended family that I will be attending. 

Judy Williams my parent representative has graciously agreed to help out on Saturday.  Can one of the extra workers below help her at startup.

Here is the job you will help Judy starting at 11:30 on Saturday.

·          All Worker Assignments for first and second half.

·         Heat Sheets on per family.

·         Collect unpaid All County Checks.

·         Hand out All county Shirts for $6.00 for those that would like to purchase them.

All county is an awesome end of year party that every swimmer should try to attend.   Reminder the All County meet requires prior submission.  If your child’s name is not on the list below they CANNOT swim in All County.   There is a special All County Shirt that is not required as part of your registration fee.  These shirts will be $10 on the day of the meet and $8 prior to.  Because the deadline was short I ordered T-shirts for everyone in all County.  The Laurel Park Dolphin price is $6.00 a shirt that you must pay on the day of the meet.

Required Arrival Time       : 12:00 P.M.

Warm Up                          :  12:30 P.M.

Parade for all Swimmers  :  01:00 P.M.

Meet Starts                       :  01:15 P.M.

·         Every Parent is required to work at the All County Meet.  You must work the job you are assigned either now or on that day.

·         If your child is not on the list below, they cannot swim in all county.

·         Write in swimmers are not allowed in all county.

·         Every Swimmer get’s a Plaque with their Name, Events and Times for each event.

·         You must sign in at the Worker Table and get your job for the day.

·         You can only pay with Check on the day of the All County Meet.

·         Every family gets a heat sheet that includes all events.

·         Extra heat sheets can be purchased on the day of the meet.

·         If you have not paid for all County you must pay on the day of the meet.

·         If you would like to buy the All County T-Shirt I ordered for your child you can pay $6.00 on that day for the shirt.

·         Reminder T-Shirts were not a part of the registration fee for All County.

Laurel Park Swim Team 2010 Schedule

Normal Swim Practice Evenings/Mornings Day/Times

Starting June 14, 2010:

Monday/Wednesday night:                      7-8 PM ages 10 and under

                                                                  8-9 PM ages 11 and up

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday mornings:   8-9 AM  ages 11 and up

                                                                     9-10 AM ages 10 and under

It is important that your child attend as many practices and meets as possible.  The more practice they have, the better they do at the meets.  Your child must participate in at least 3 swim meets to qualify for the All-County Meet.

Parent’s Responsibilities

Swim team is lots of fun for the kids and parents but requires a commitment by parent volunteers to work every meet that your child is in.  To make each meet run smoothly, it truly requires participation by every family.  It takes over 50 parents to run an away meet and over 70 parents to run a Home meet.  Every position must be staffed in order to run a meet.  There are a number of fun opportunities to volunteer including the concession stand, bull pen, ribbon table, and stroke judge.  

Stroke Judge Clinics

Parents, we are in critical need of more stroke judges this year.  We currently only have two stroke judges and we must have 4 judges to run a meet.   If you were swimmer in the past or have an interest this is great opportunity for you.  Coaches, league reps and interested parents are also welcome to attend.   Please consider doing this if you have swim experience or an interest in being a stroke judge.  These stroke judge clinics have not yet been scheduled.
